"Through the Lorne Infection and Immunity meeting, I met the CEO of a US based Biotech startup and began conducting contract research on their behalf. Through this, we developed a novel inflammasome inhibitor and I have now joined this company called Adiso Therapeutics as Head of Translational Sciences while also maintaining my laboratory and adjunct position at Hudson Institute."

Research Activities

Pattern Recognition Receptors based research investigating:
  • The Toll-like receptor (TLRs), RIG-like Helicase (RLHs) and NOD-like receptors (NLRs)
  • Signal transduction pathways initiated upon recognition of both pathogen and endogenous TLR ligands
  • Structure/Function analysis of TLR signaling mediators
  • Negative regulation of these pathways to prevent chronic inflammation
  • Pathogen immunomodulation of these pathways/receptors
