Research Activities

Camila França is a postdoctoral research fellow at Infection and Immunity & Population Health and Immunity Divisions  - Walter & Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, Australia.

Her current research is on naturally acquired immunity to the malaria parasites Plasmodium vivax and Plasmodium falciparum, and how this can be used to identify targets for rational development of vaccines and therapeutic interventions. 

She has experience in immunology, molecular biology and epidemiology.

Techniques/Expertise

Assay development and optimization, bead-based array assays, PCRs, ELISAs, molecular cloning, flow cytometry and cell sorting, data management, data presentation, statistical analysis.
